Due to an abundance of snow in the high country this winter, Lake Pleasant has experienced a larger than normal amount of debris from the flooding that occurred across the state.

Paqua Park at Scorpion Bay Marina reopens March 25 for the 2023 season. The 7,000 square-foot inflatable, on-water obstacle course at Lake Pleasant in Peoria, Arizona provides hours of fun for ages seven and up.

Camping at Lake Pleasant near Scorpion Bay is open year-round and a great way to enjoy the fresh air, open spaces, and great facilities available just 45 minutes outside of Phoenix. However, due to Arizona weather, the best months for camping around the lake are February, March, April, September, and October.

Scorpion Bay Marina and Scorpion Bay Grill are now hiring for the 2023 season. Positions range from two marina maintenance positions to multiple positions at the Grill including cooks, runners, hostesses, store associates, bussers, dishwashers, servers and prep cooks.

Scorpion Bay Grill offers a full menu of fresh salads, sandwiches and burgers with breathtaking mountain and lake views. You can even order food by phone, pick it up and take it to go on the water.

Arizona, with its exceptionally beautiful, mild winters, has countless outdoors events each January through March while the rest of the country moves indoors in the cold. We’ve made a list of just a fraction of our favorites coming during 2023 that are a short distance from Lake Pleasant in Peoria.
