Scorpion Bay Floating Cabins Provide “Glamping” at Lake Pleasant

No boat? No problem! Lake life just got easier with Scorpion Bay’s floating cabins. While enjoying the beauty of Lake Pleasant on a boat is nice, it’s certainly not the only option. In fact, it’s easier than ever to spend some time on the water without even leaving the marina. This year Scorpion Bay is offering floating cabins to those who want to hear the waves and feel the ebb and flow of the water in the comfort of a spacious, custom-built bungalow. These houseboat-meet tiny home creations each have their own wet slip and are just steps away from the Scorpion Bay Grill, General Store, and marina office.

Small enough to fit in a slip, but large enough to sleep four people, the floating cabins offer the best of lake camping without all the work of camping shoreside – it’s truly lake “Glamping”. With a fully supplied kitchen and access to a washer and dryer, they bring the comfort and convenience of home to the beauty and serenity of life on the water. Bringing these floating cabins to Scorpion Bay Marina has been a goal for many years but, like so many things, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

General Manager Lynn Lovelady is excited to offer this new opportunity to visitors of Scorpion Bay. “This is a whole new way to experience life on the lake here at Scorpion Bay. These cabins have been a long time coming and we are thrilled to finally be offering them to our valued guests.”

If you already have a boat, you can secure it just off the cabin’s deck; boat rentals are also available from the Scorpion Bay Marina. “The combination of a boat and the floating cabin allows the freedom to explore Lake Pleasant throughout the day, then settle into a well-appointed private space in the evening,” said Lovelady.

Each cabin is designed to maximize your comfort and relaxation offering space to spread out and rest after a long day in the sun. The spacious decks have all the necessary amenities including a grill and patio seating. It’s the perfect summer vacation destination in one of Arizona’s most desirable locations. The kitchens are stocked with supplies, guests can simply bring their groceries to prepare their own meals within the floating cabin, or steps from culinary delights at Scorpion Bay Grill or grab-in-go snacks at the Marina General Store.

Cabins cost $1,990* per week and have a one-week minimum stay. Be one of the first to enjoy Scorpion Bay and Lake Pleasant in a whole new way and contact rentals@scorpionbayaz.com or call 928-501-7368. See you at the lake!
