In September, the staff at the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department will host several events to enhance the safety and enjoyment of Lake Pleasant.

Wake Surfing at Scorpion Bay was recently featured on FOX 10 News because it has become increasingly popular with innovations to larger wakeboard boats such as the Nautique G23.

Safety First at Scorpion Bay, and thankfully there are a number of resources for new or long-time boat owners to learn more about boater safety here in Arizona through the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department.

The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department has created a Lake Pleasant Monday Clean-Up Crew for volunteers available any Monday morning in August, September and October.

The life jacket loaner program makes life jackets available lakeside at 18 kiosks statewide, including at Lake Pleasant, adding more kiosks and allowing boaters to use a life vest from the loaner station and return it at the end of the day.
