Treat yourself to grandeur of spring hiking at Lake Pleasant

Lace up your hiking boots, tuck some water in your backpack and hit the trail!

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation has so many fun hiking events during the spring at Lake Pleasant. Don’t miss the chance to bond with nature and get a good workout at the same time. After a day of fun on the trails, hit the floating Scorpion Bay Grill for a bite to eat—including wings, quesadillas, burgers and tacos And, it is dog friendly!

March 8: Sunset and Full Moon Hike

Enjoy a beautiful moonlit hike along the Pipeline Canyon Trail, among the most scenic areas in the park. This moderately difficult hike is about 4 miles and takes about 2.5 hours to complete.

March 15: Looking for Wildflowers on the Cottonwood Trail

Always a good likelihood of seeing wildflowers and wildlife while exploring this scenic area of the park. This moderate hike is about 2.5 miles and takes about 2 hours.

April 22: Earth Day Hike on the Wild Burro Trail

Great scenic lake views on this moderate 4-mile hike, which takes about 2.5 hours.

April 25: Desert Knowledge, Easy Hike on the Roadrunner Trail

Learn fun facts about the Sonoran Desert and Lake Pleasant. This easy hike is less than 2 miles and takes about 1.5 hours.
