Social Distancing at Lake Pleasant

Updated May 1, 2020:

The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department realizes that the community is seeking outdoor recreation opportunities where they can walk, hike, run and bike while practicing safe social distancing. They recommend the following to ensure park visitor and staff safety:

  • Do not use trails if you have symptoms of COVID-19, which can include fever, cough and trouble breathing.
  • Avoid social gatherings in groups of more than ten people.
  • Ensure six to eight feet between you and the next person.
  • If your favorite trailhead or recreation spot in the park is experiencing congestion, find another area in the park, and spread out!

Before visiting Lake Pleasant, be sure to check the Scorpion Bay and Maricopa County Parks and Recreation websites for updates about current situations as they work to keep guests safe.

Scorpion Bay is Arizona’s premier floating playground, offering everything from daily pontoon and ski boat rentals to slips for harboring your yacht (or dinghy). Come for the fishing or come for the frolicking—either way, incredible mountain views, fantastic dining and world-class marina services await less than an hour out of Phoenix. https://www.scorpionbayaz.com/
