Competitive Wake Surf Association expects to draw 100+ Premier Athletes from Around the Globe to Surf in the Desert October 6-10
For the first time ever the CWSA (Competitive Wake Surf Association) World Championship will be held in Arizona. Often held internationally, Scorpion Bay Marina will showcase the highest-ranked wake surfers in the world in men’s and women’s pro, outlaw, master, amateur, and junior surf divisions to battle for the World Championship title this October.
More than 100 athletes from at least 12 different countries will compete October 6-10 as part of the weeklong championship competition. This event showcases top wake surfers displaying a wide variety of skills from blind, switch and surface spins to advanced aerials, shuv-its, grabs, combination tricks and more. This is the first time the CWSA world championship wake surfing event has been held in Arizona, the past two years being in Geneva Switzerland and Seoul Korea.
Event attendees will have the option of watching from the spacious outdoor patio at Scorpion Bay Grill, or along several docks – it is recommended to bring shade. Attendees can also enjoy freshly made food and drinks from Scorpion Bay Grill’s extensive menu of award-winning burgers, salads, flatbreads, desserts and more.
