Glamping in a Floating Cabin at Scorpion Bay

No Boat? No Problem. There’s a new way to enjoy lake life at Scorpion Bay, Lake Pleasant. You don’t need to own a boat to wake up on the water anymore. At Scorpion Bay Marina, lake life just got a whole lot easier, and much more comfortable. Our five floating cabins are designed for guests who want the sights, sounds, and rhythm of Lake Pleasant without the hassle of trailering, launching, or camping at the park.

These custom-built floating bungalows blend the charm of a houseboat with the comfort of a modern home. Each cabin sits securely in its own wet slip and is just steps away from everything that makes Scorpion Bay special: Scorpion Bay Grill, the General Store, and the famous Paqua Park (floating obstacle course). You’re on the water, but still fully connected.

Lake camping, minus the work

The loft cabins are spacious enough to comfortably sleep up to eight guests, and the studio can sleep up to four. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms suites with their own bathroom, plus two twin beds in the loft, and access to on-site washer and dryer facilities. Outside, the private deck gives you room to grill, relax, and take in the views as the sun sets over the lake and the breathtaking Bradshaw Mountains. And it also comes with your very own boat slip next to your cabin!

It’s everything people love about lake camping, without tents, generators, or hauling gear back and forth. Call it lake glamping, done right.

Bring your boat… or don’t

Already have a boat? Tie it up directly next to your cabin in your very own boat slip and head out whenever the mood strikes. No boat? No worries, you get 50% discount on our rental fleet at the marina. Spend the day exploring coves and open water, then come back to a quiet, well-appointed space that feels like home. As General Manager Lynn Lovelady puts it, this has been years in the making:

“This is a whole new way to experience life on the lake at Scorpion Bay. The response from our guests have been overwhelming, with so many sharing how much they’ve enjoyed their stay.”

Easy, flexible, and right on the water

Cook your own meals in the cabin, fire up the grill on the deck, or walk a few steps to enjoy lunch or dinner at our award-winning Floating Grill. Grab snacks, drinks, and essentials at the General Store. Everything is close, simple, and designed to let you focus on relaxing or having fun during your lake adventure.
