Nature has all the elements to boost our happiness and immune systems. Camping is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and open spaces and Lake Pleasant has the facilities to make your camping stay a healthy and memorable one.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, this is a day-to-day planning experience. Before scheduling your camping trip, be sure to check the Scorpion Bay and Maricopa County Parks and Recreation websites for updates about current situations as they work to keep guests safe. As shoreline is limited due to the lake water levels being so high, make sure to get a camping reservation. As of May 2020 there is no shoreline, boat or primitive campign sites available, only reservations in Parks and Recreation campsites.
Set on 23,362 acres, Lake Pleasant Regional Park offers 148 sites for both RV and tent camping. Developed and semi-developed sites are available. The sites offer a beautiful and comfortable way to immerse yourself in nature.
You’ll find all the essentials available at each developed site, including water, electricity, dump station, ramadas, picnic tables and grills.
Semi-developed sites have a covered ramada and picnic table, barbecue grill and a fire ring.
Restroom and shower facilities are offered to both types of campsites.
As we adjust to life since COVID-19, please be mindful of keeping a safe social distance. Don’t forget to bring along your bucket of sanitizing wipes, disposable gloves and your masks as a precaution for yourself and others. When water levels are high it means the shoreline is now in the brush and campers looking to spend time down by the water’s edge should pick a spot a few feet back from the water so they are not shoulder to shoulder with others looking to keep cool in the Arizona summer heat.
