Celebrate the spookiest day of the year on the lake at Scorpion Bay Grill's annual Halloween event. Live music from Audio Freak playing classic rock covers, plus plenty of dancing, a costume contest, drink specials, prizes and more. Costume contest begins at 8 p.m.

2. Peoria's Annual Halloween Monster Bash and Costume Contest

Enjoy a frightfully fun evening for the whole family at Peoria's annual Halloween Monster Bash full of delicious treats, live entertainment, the annual costume contest, and a variety of engaging activities for all ages. The Monster March Costume Contest begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes divisions for children 0-10 years old, plus a family group/contest division. Judges will score on criteria such as scariest, funniest, cutest, and most original costumes. Trophies will be awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners in each age group.

3. Tolmachoff Farms Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Corn Maze

The unforgettable fall season memories began at Tolmachoff Farms on October 4 and last until October 29. There's something for the whole family: Great big pumpkin patch, six-acre family corn maze, mini corn maze, and haunted corn maze. Other activities: petting zoo, train ride, hay pyramid, corn box, adult/child pedal cart track, jumping pillow and much more. The haunted corn maze is only open Fridays, Saturdays and Halloween night from 7-11 p.m.

4. Rocker 7 Farm Patch

Rocker 7 Farm Patch educates children and adults through hands-on experience with a real working farm, creating awareness about the benefits of farm fresh produce and provides families with a fun and safe farm environment to learn and experience agriculture firsthand. During the fall, they offer exciting, family oriented activities, u-pick pumpkins from their pick-your-own pumpkin patch, and tons of memories for the whole family.
